Internacional vs Coritiba Prediction: The Colorado is on the rise

After a brilliant 7-1 win over Santos, Internacional won again, this time away to Vasco da Gama. The Cariocas hadn't lost in six games at the São Januário, so the match wasn't exactly an easy one for the Gaúchos. Eduardo Coudet's side is certainly on the up and seems to be aiming higher in the table. The Colorado is not exactly having a good league campaign and has gradually edged closer to the relegation zone. Perhaps that's what's woken up the team, which now seems to be showing that it has the quality to finish higher up the table.

Internacional

Goals from Maurício and Enner Valencia gave Inter a precious lead against Vasco da Gama. Despite pressing for an equalizer, the home side only managed to reduce the gap through Alex Teixeira near the end, in the 84th minute. It was the Gauchos' return to winning ways on the road after seven games without a win. Back at the Beira-Rio, Colorado appears to be the favorite to beat Coritiba, the second-last-placed team in the Brasileirão. It will be a big surprise if Internacional doesn't beat the Paranaenses.

Coritiba

The Coxa fought until the end at the Vila Belmiro for a positive result, but the adversities in the game were enormous. In the 4th minute, the team was already trailing to an own goal by Bianqui, giving the impression that luck would not be on the Paranaenses' side that day. Shortly after, Robson scored the equalizer from the penalty spot, but Willian Farias was sent off in the 38th minute to complicate things for Coritiba. Kosloski's team held out bravely until the 73rd minute when Marcos Leonardo made it 2-1. Santos is now the first team above the Z4 with 33 points. Coritiba, with 20 points, is unlikely to avoid playing in the Série B next season. Beating Internacional away looks like a Herculean task.

Expert Betting Tips

Inter is the clear favorite in this Brasileirão match. The home team is still not completely safe, as the seven-point lead over the relegation zone doesn't allow for much relaxation. As the odds are low for an International win, I'm going to add a minimum of two goals in the match to the bet. Coritiba concedes a lot of goals, while Inter has scored ten goals in its last two home fixtures.
