Portsmouth may have played fewer matches than the teams above them, but they are presently four points from safety in the league. Portsmouth won two, drew seven, and lost seven out of their 16 matches so far. Although they sit precariously at this moment, Portsmouth managed to pick four points from the last two matches in the Championship. They had their last home game against Preston North End, where they won by 3-1 and then drew with Swansea City in Wales 2-2. Despite the efforts of Matt Ritchie and Jacob Murphy to give Portsmouth a two-goal lead, Swansea responded by equalizing by the 53rd minute. Portsmouth had to work their way to gain a point from the game. Portsmouth will now focus on their upcoming home game, aiming for a third consecutive league game without defeat this season. With a winless streak of four matches against Bristol City, Portsmouth will look to secure their first competitive victory since September 2010 when they won 3-1 at home.
Portsmouth Predicted Lineup

Bristol City form
Bristol City sits five points below the playoffs after their 18 league games this season, six wins, seven draws, and five losses. Their recent form has not been too strong as they have not maintained consistency, winning two but losing three of their last five Championship matches. They began with a 2-1 loss to Sheffield United, then came out 2-0 victorious over Norwich City. The Burnley and Watford victories later had to be forgotten because a 4-0 success over Plymouth Argyle allowed them to feature again as Anis Mehmeti, Scott Twine, and Sinclair Armstrong all netted during it. Saturday's home assignment at Fratton Park should give Pompey an excellent chance to gather three points as they won three of their last five games when away. While Bristol City have not lost to Portsmouth in their last four meetings, their last win at Fratton Park dates back to April 1999.
Bristol City Predicted Lineup
O'Leary; Vyner, Dickie, McNally, Pring; Bird, Knight; Hirakawa, Twine, Mehmeti; Wells
Portsmouth vs Bristol City Expert Tips
Bristol City will have to achieve a consecutive victory this coming Saturday after overcoming Plymouth during the weekend, but should be able to secure no more than a draw by then when they face Portsmouth, for whom four points from two games have made them stronger.
