After going without a win in eight games - the longest such streak under manager Carlos Corberan - West Brom finally secured three crucial points at the MKM Stadium before the recent international break, defeating Hull City in a closely contested match. Prior to this victory, West Brom had only scored two goals in their last seven Championship games. West Brom managed to find some scoring form again with Karlan Grant and Josh Maja getting the side off to a good start, but in comfort this time, with Joao Pedro's goal for Hull City being little more than a consolation.
This win ended West Brom's run of draws and helped them maintain their position in fifth place in the Championship table before the international break. This term has been a trying season for West Brom under Corberan, as they have only won two of their seven home games at The Hawthorns and scored just two goals in front of their own fans. All of the recent matches at home have resulted in goalless draws against Millwall, Cardiff City, and Burnley.
West Bromwich Albion Predicted Lineup
Palmer; Furlong, Holgate, Heggem, Styles; Molumby, Mowatt; Fellows, Grant, Johnston; Maja
Norwich City form
Norwich City had been impressive with a seven-game unbeaten run in the Championship through September and October. Recent weeks have seen them lose in six successive games since a 2-0 loss to Bristol City at Carrow Road against their opponents on Saturday, who went on to take the lead against Norwich through the efforts of Anis Mehmeti and Nahki Wells. Despite enjoying nearly 65% of possession, Norwich were powerless to gain any leverage in the game against Bristol City. Norwich suffers its third straight loss in the Championship, relegating them to 14th place in the table, seven points behind sixth-placed Watford and three points above the relegation zone. Borja Sainz, as was seen this season, leads the Golden Boot race with 11 goals in 15 matches for Norwich. An appearance by the Spanish winger, hoping not to replicate his last visit to West Brom, when he picked up two yellow cards in one go, reducing Norwich to 10 men and going onto lose narrowly.
Predicted Norwich City Lineup
Long; Fisher, Duffy, Chrisene, Doyle; Ben Slimane, Sorensen, Schwartau; Crnac, Sainz, Marcondes
West Bromwich Albion vs Norwich City Expert Tips
After several games without scoring at The Hawthorns, we expect a keen West Brom to go out and entertain the faithful homefans for a matchday. No, that will not necessarily translate into scoring aplenty, but Norwich are in a rather woeful vein, and Corberan's team should surely grasp that straws.
