Vicente Luque still has to show he's got what it takes after losing to Geoff Neal and ending up in the hospital. He lost his last fight on March 30, 2024, in the UFC against Joaquin Buckley. It was a co-main event UFC Fight Night bout, losing via ground & pound TKO. He won against Rafael dos Anjos, but he didn't seem too confident and mainly used his wrestling skills to win. In his fight with Neal, Luque got hurt so badly that he had a brain bleed afterward, which is very serious. Luque is good at many aspects of fighting and can end fights quickly. He needs to get back to his best form to stay important in the 170 lbs. category because he's really good at winning in tough situations. Luque is known for exciting fights because he likes to brawl, but he's also skilled in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and luta livre, earning black belts in both. In his recent fight, after being away for a year, he seemed cautious but used his punches and kicks well. However, Luque has lost two of his last three fights, didn't look good in his recent match, and seems to be struggling a bit. Given his impressive track record of finishing 15 out of 32 victories by submission or TKO, Do Anjos's grappling prowess is well known. Additionally, he is a versatile fighter who adeptly switches stances, employs diverse attacks, and engages in high-paced fights. As Do Anjos steps into the Octagon, his unwavering desire to challenge himself and compete at the highest level will undoubtedly propel his performance.

Vicente Luque, who has not competed in the octagon for nearly eight months, will be facing Themba Takura Gorimbo. He used to be quicker and tougher, but recent tough fights have slowed him down and hurt his confidence. However, it's uncertain how much Themba will try to take the fight to the ground, given Luque's skill in close combat.
